1st Semester Reflection
Digital Art 1 is my first ever class involving photoshop. I have learned a lot through out the first semester. I started out basically knowing nothing, but now I've come a long way. Looking back on the year I can say I gave all of my projects a lot of effort. I have constantly challenged my self by trying to come up with original creative content and make it all fit together. Sometimes it would not work so well and it may have been hard to come up with a solutions, but those projects i feel are the ones I learned the most from.
I feel one of my weaker areas in the 1st semester was my quality of work. Its not that I wouldn't put the effort into the projects its just that sometimes I feel my lack of experience in photoshop limited me during some projects (there may have been a certain effect I could have applied to make the project tie together better but I didn't know of it). Other than that I tried to make my projects the best I could and some of them turned out pretty well.
My participation in class I feel has been good. I am always on time to class. I work through out most of the period. I usually work by my self but me and Reid love to critique each others work. I do stay on task and use class time productively. I feel participation is one of my stronger areas.
I feel I have improved a lot in photoshop. As I have stated before, this is my first ever experience with photoshop. At the beginning of the year I knew how to do literally nothing, not even how to open photoshop. But now I can confidently put together a decent project! I have improved technically and I can come up with more compelling solutions. I defiantly have a stronger concept of photoshop and how to make projects work then when I started.
In the second semester I plan to continue my growth and development as a digital artist. I want to make more compelling and stronger pieces of work. I also want to learn new tricks in photoshop. In the second semester I plan to create much more visually appealing pieces of work, but overall I want to just become a better digital artist
